    Flor de Jamaica – the Cleansing pink drink

    Flor the Jamaica or the hibiscus flower is often used to make herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-coloured calyces of the Roselle flower. It has a tart, cranberry-like flavour and is as good cold as hot! I first got introduced to this beautiful drink by an architect with the name Manuel (very exentric) in Costa Rica when I lived there. He and his partner swore by this pink, cooling drink and would keep on serving it during the whole dinner.     The blues are there and so is the stress and sleep deprivation the alienation towards one’s new body. Sprinkle some extended family drama on that and I can almost promise you that you will experience some form of mild anxiety.
