Cleansing food,  How to get better

The benefits of live culture

I’m lucky to be living in a such a vegan and friendly neighbourhood with lots of family’s and restaurants. I often go by the store Planet Organic that is what it sounds like; a huge store (measured in London size) full of vegan and organic products. Everything from skincare to aloe Vera plants, baby care and lots of fresh food items. They even have a restaurant and a big area where one can sit down and work or just have a coffee. The place is spacy (he-he) enough to fit some buggies.

So today I went over there on my morning walk with Clementine. I had a rough night that started late; at 2 AM since we had friends over and the time just flew by. Then Clementine kept us both awake during periods since she’s teething. So I treated myself to some one-use items such as the great, somewhat affordable turmeric shot from Moju drinks and a TLc shot from Cpress packed with carrot, grapefruit, turmeric, lime and cayenne pepper. I also bought a Live active coconut milk shot from Biomel which is great for a tired mind (and stomach).

More than that I bought some sauerkraut witch the whole family just love, even Clementine. And that is another example of great, simple, live food that one can add to one’s diet. It’s also super easy to make yourself if you have the time and space. Something I don’t at the moment… I also bought some chocolate hazelnut mylk since I sometimes crave sugary things when I’m sleep deprived and a lack of appetite, and this is a pretty good option. The rice mylk is creamy but not too thick and has a nice choco flavour. I usually buy the Oatly one but I couldn’t find it today. I did on the other hand find the Oatly ‘cream’ that I am planning of using when I make carrot fritters for Clementine when she wakes up from her nap.

My favourite thing of today’s shopping is the Teff flour that I will use in pancake mixes and when I do fritters and waffles for the family and especially for Clem. Teff, is a gluten-free grain packed full of nutrients including iron, calcium, magnesium and vitamins B and C!

These are all great items for the gut and the mind. Especially the live items are good for your mind but they are all great in their own way. The Deliciously Ella hazelnut balls will stop my cravings just about now.

Lots of Love
